All About Chris Hull

I am a musician, singer, songwriter & performer of acoustic music, drawing on folk, blues & acoustic roots influences from the 20th century. I aim to bring a tap to your toe and a smile to your lips creating a warm musical atmosphere with fine musicianship & an original voice.

Having picked up the guitar in my late teens, I studied music for four years, learned, played & sang throughout Nottingham and the midlands developing skills & knowledge in acoustic music & performance.

During this time & since, I supported Jo Frayer, Christian Laverick, Pippa Marland & Hazel O Connor.
I also recorded & promoted my debut, an EP, entitled
'Ballads & Blues' in 2004/05.

In mid 2006 I began to assemble an ensemble of marvellous musicians to perform with me… The Instant Band.
Line up: Double Bass, Drums, Guitar, Saxophone & vocals.
In the months that Chris Hull & The Instant Band has been assembled we have played at venues across Nottingham from The Running Horse to The Hard Rock Cafe.
The Instant Band are red hot. We have recently recorded an EP entitled 'The Instant Band' which we will be promoting at shows & festival performances throughout 2007.
